An exhibition and artist book by Victoria Cooper-Pedrote

11th December 2023 – 7th January 2024
Foyer Gallery, UCA Farnham campus
Opening: 12th October, 5 to 7pm

This body of work explores the significance of approaching touch and other senses as the means to access and process emotions, on and off the page. ‘I use my fingertips to disconnect from the outside and connect with the inside—a way of observing, a way of listening to my intuition. I experience this sacred touch to experience myself. Touch to listen, touch to feel, touch to observe, touch to understand’.

Victoria Cooper Pedrote is a Surrey-based visual artist and photographer, who intimately explores her own identity and emotional landscape through her work. Her practice and skills are focused on analogue photography, artist’s publications, designing and curating. As part of her residency, Cooper Pedrote developed her second publication “Sacred Touch”, after discovering the realm of Artist’s books through her first one, “The in Betweens” (2022), developed as her final project as a UCA Photo graduate of 2022.

The exhibition is curated by the artist and Emmanuelle Waeckerlé and concludes Victoria Cooper Pedrote’s Artist Residency with bookRoom.
